    SYNK 1.0.8 — Android testing build Pre-release

    SYNK Android 1.0.8 (code 9), package com.ocaye.synk. Built 4 November 2026. Updates the existing SYNK app using the same signing certificate; install over the existing app to retain its account data. Bundles the production API at https://api.synk.ventures and does not require a local development server.

    Includes visible account/sign-out controls, automatic permission-aware Nearby search, nearby profile sharing, two sample videos, and the current compact OCAYE Notes/VoiceStamp interface. APK manifest, signer and bundled API checks passed; 19 focused source tests passed.

    Bluetooth testing: use two real Android phones, each signed into a separate account in Live/real mode. Enable Bluetooth and grant requested Nearby devices/Location access. Add a public display name, then switch Settings → Nearby visibility On on both phones. Sharing lasts up to two minutes while SYNK stays open. Open Social → Nearby and check that searching starts automatically and each phone can see the other. Repeat after turning Bluetooth off/on and reopening the app; check that turning sharing Off hides the profile. Report phone models, Android versions, failure time and any error/status screenshots.

    Known limitations: this is a testing build. Physical Bluetooth discovery and push notification delivery are not yet verified. Notes submission is currently unavailable (the configured Notes API returns HTTP 404). On-phone video recording/saving still needs acceptance testing.
